Bridging the Gap

It’s no secret that children of all ages are being exposed to negative criticism of Christianity as they spend time at school, with friends, or online. Research shows that at least 60% of kids reject their faith as young adults. Given the many challenges of discipling children in our fast-paced, social media dominant culture, it’s mission critical that parents are prepared to help their kids navigate the tough faith questions they’ll encounter. How?  GAP is here to help!

Grassroots Apologetics for Parents (GAP) is a Bible-centered ministry that works with local churches to equip parents to make a case for the truth of Christianity. Chapters meet weekly for 10 to 12 weeks in the fall and again in the spring. We will begin our study together with Keeping Your Kids on God’s Side by Natasha Crain. We’ll cover 40 of the most important faith challenges parents and kids need to understand today, including questions like:

  • What evidence is there for God’s existence?
  • How could a good God allow evil and suffering?
  • Do all religions point to the same truth?
  • How can Christians believe miracles are even possible?
  • How do we know we can trust the Bible’s authors?
  • Why do Christians have varying views on how and when God created the world?

Whether you are a parent, grandparent or just want to be better at sharing your faith, join us for a GAP interest meeting on Wednesday, September 11, at 7:00 p.m. at Clear Lake Church of Christ, where you’ll learn how to help yourself, your kids, and others develop a confident faith in today’s challenging world!
