Bay Place Apartment Ministry
Clear Lake Church offers tutoring for the children of Bay Place Apartments every Thursday afternoon during the school year and “Fun in the Son” programs every summer. We provide transportation for several families and children who worship with us on Sundays and Wednesdays. If you are interested in getting involved, please contact Jana Layman at 281-480-1895.
Harbourview Retirement Center
One Saturday a month a group from Clear Lake Church goes to minister to the elderly at Harbor View Retirement Center. Adults and kids sing, pray, fellowship and help with crafts. For more information please contact Jonida Martin at 281-280-9332. For information on the June visit, click here.
Sunny Glen Children’s Home
Our December ministry is to provide Christmas gifts to the children residing at Sunny Glen. These children are not adoptable for various reasons. We “adopt” them at Christmas ensuring that each child gets a few items from their wish list. We go as a group one weekend to deliver the gifts and to provide a Christmas party.
Impact Church
Once a year, we provide lunch for 200 people who attend our inner city mission church. We go as a group to worship with the people and then prepare and serve the meal. We come away uplifted by the joy of the people at Impact.
Other Opportunities
Other opportunities to serve are listed on the Involvement bulletin board. New members are asked to complete a form indicating their spiritual gifts as well as areas of interest for serving. The data are entered in our database, and the information is used to staff ministries.
