Our Mission
The mission statement of Clear Lake Church of Christ is Helping One Another to Know God. Our Children’s Ministry has the same basic mission—Helping Children to Know God.
Our Goal
In Children’s Ministry, we work with children, volunteers, and parents. Therefore, our goals are to:
- Teach Children
- Train Workers
- Equip Parents
The Importance of Children’s Ministry
Children have always been important to God. The Bible is filled with stories of how children are a blessing from the Lord. “Sons are a heritage from the Lord, children a reward from Him” (Psalm 127:3).
God’s plan for keeping His people faithful from generation to generation is for Christians to share their faith with others, especially with our children. “These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children” (Deuteronomy 6:6-7).
As God values children and their developing faith, we value them as well. Our desire is that every child who comes through our children’s ministry learn about God through His Word and develop the foundation for a relationship with Him.

How You Can Help
- Prayer - Like all of our ministries at Clear Lake , we need your prayers. Please pray for our mission, our staff, God’s leading, and especially for our individual children.
- Volunteers - There are many ways to serve. Some volunteer opportunities are ongoing, such as teaching a Bible class, assisting with TeamKID or Praise Kids children’s church, or working in our church nursery. We also need volunteers for annual events, such as VBS and Harvest Festival. Contact our Children’s Ministry directors if you have a heart for children and would like an opportunity to serve.
- Resources . From time to time, we also need classroom resources. Our basic supplies, such as scissors, glue, etc., need to be replaced periodically. Look for our upcoming Children’s Ministry Supplies Drive in the fall.
