Believe Resources for Kids & Families

As we move into the Fall and the beginning of our whole church experience with Believe, we want to help families know how we can partner together to get the most out of our time engaging in this study together. Below are answers to some questions that you might have about Believe and its resources in relation to the Kid’s Ministry at Clear Lake. Please contact Jason Harvey if you have any other questions that are not addressed here.

We will have all of the children’s Believe resources available for you to buy in the foyer starting July 10 except the Coloring book and Kids’ Devotional book. You are welcome to purchase the coloring book for home use, but the Kid’s Ministry will likely be utilizing them each week in either Bible Class or Praise Kids.

Believe Kids Devo BookThe Kids’ Devotional Book, though not offered at the Welcome Center, is a good resource for parents and kids (ages 6-10) if you would like to have more options on top of what will be offered each week to families through the curriculum’s Family Page – a sheet with age appropriate activities and discussion questions related to that week’s lesson. If  you would like to order this book through the church we would be happy to take your order for it at the Believe table in the foyer.

Believe Storybook FlatThe Storybook Bible will be used in Bible classes of those ages 2-1st grade. You might want one of these Bibles for your child if you would like to read the stories at home during the week with your kids after they experience them in Bible classes. We will have enough for Bible classes each week, though.

Believe Kids Edition Book flatThe Kids’ Edition will be used in Bible classes in 2nd-5th grade. You might want one of these Bibles for your child if you would like to read the stories at home during the week with your kids after they experience them in Bible classes. We will have enough for Bible classes each week, though.

Believe Kids Key Verse CardsThere will also be memory verse cards available for purchase. Each week Believe has a key verse and key idea. They have created cards with the coinciding verses and ideas for each week. You might want one of these per family if you have one or more children ages 3-5th grade in order to work on memorizing the focus verse for each week. (If you have a two year old we will provide a special card for you each week with the same key verse and idea of the week – but stated more simply.) The Kid’s Ministry is looking to highlight more scripture memorization with our kids. Families are in the best position to do this with their kids throughout the week at home together. I would encourage families to consider purchasing a set.

Right now, the best thing you can do is look over this information and talk together about how you would like to engage with the Believe experience at home as a family. Hopefully this information will help you decide what resources would benefit your family the most.
