Volunteers Needed – K-5th Sports Camp 2015

The Christian Outreach Alliance (COA) is hosting its 4th annual COA Sports Camp and we are in need of volunteers to come and love on our neighbors who come and participate.  Sports Camp invites Kindergartners through 5th graders to register to come to our free camp where they will receive instruction in the sport they choose, as well as inspirational and Biblical stories and application as a part of their time with us.  Many of the parents of these children come and stay and watch, so there is opportunity to engage with them as well!

Sports Camp will run Monday through Thursday, June 8-11, from 5-8 p.m. and will be held at the fields next to Clear Lake Recreation Center off of Diana.  The COA churches each select a sport to be in charge of coaching and CLCC will be working with Volleyball this year.  Two of our Refuge students with Varsity-level volleyball experience will be serving as the Head Coaches for the week, but we need a good bunch of folks to come and assist them by being extra sets of hands with the campers to help guide them through skill practice and just showering them with encouragement and support.

We need volunteers for a variety of opportunities to serve as a part of Sports Camp.  We could use help with set up each day at 4:00 p.m., serving & cleaning up from the meal between 5-6 p.m., volunteers to help with the sports instruction itself from 6-8, followed by volunteers to help with clean up and pack up at 8:00.

If you would like to be a part of this opportunity to engage with some of our neighbors through volunteering for COA’s Sports Camp, please contact me. My email is donna.stone@clearlakechurch.com and I’d love to hear from you! I promise you will be just as blessed as you bless others.

If you’d like more information about COA, please visit our website at clearlakecoa.org.  If you have or know children (K-5th) who would be interested in Sports Camp, the registration link is found on the COA website’s home page. There is also a link to COA from our church’s website.
