Children’s Service Project

Service Opportunity:  Operation Christmas Child and Cookie Baking

On SATURDAY, November 8 from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. all children ages 3 through 5th grade are invited to join us in the Praise Kids room to participate in a service project called Operation Christmas Child. The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to needy children around the world, and together with the local church worldwide, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.

The mission is accomplished in a very simple way: the packing of shoe boxes with items for children which are sent to countries all around the world. We are asking that each child bring a shoebox and $7 which will cover the cost of shipping.  Besides packing shoeboxes, the children will also bake cookies that will be shared with our neighbors on December 21 as we carol the neighborhood.

Please check out Operation Christmas Child videos at www.samaritanspurse.org .

If you have any questions, contact Liz Fike.   Thanks so much for your support!
