News and Notes LogoA Baby Shower for Bethany Self will be held TODAY from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.  Registry selections are at Babies R’ Us and Target.

A Bridal Shower in honor of Melissa Hlozek will be held next Sunday, April 21, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the home of Liz Fike.  Registry selections are at Bed, Bath & Beyond and Target.

A Baby Shower for Michelle Coppock will be held at our building on Saturday, April 27, at 10:00 a.m. in the fellowship hall.  Registry selections are at Babies R’ Us and Target.

Important Security Information:  We have been reassessing our policies and procedures on key issuance in order to ensure the safety of people using our building as well as to protect the resources God has provided.  In the coming weeks, it will be necessary for current key and/or card holders to return their keys and complete a new request for approval if building access is still required.  We ask your cooperation and patience through this important process.

HIS Kids Camp 2013:  “My Friend Jesus” – July 22-26  For ages 2 years through graduated 5th grade.  Watch for more information in weeks to come!

Camp Mohawk:  Unfortunately our friends at Friendswood Church of Christ are not able to host this elementary camp this year.

K-5th Grade Sports Camp 2013:  “Breaking Free” Monday, June 17-Friday, June 21—6:00 to 8:15 p.m. at Clear Lake Recreation Center (16511 Diana Lane)

A ball, a child, a Bible…mix those three together with a strong dose of love for kids, and you have one dynamic Sports Camp.  We will co-host this event with the other COA churches, and each child will choose his/her own track: Flag Football, Soccer, Baseball, etc.  A light supper will be provided each night at 5:00 p.m., and our church will provide the meal on Tuesday, April 18.  Adult and teen volunteers are needed. Candid Photos Taken:  Trent Mayberry will be taking various pictures of our worship services for the next two Sundays.  Watch for these photos to appear in our lobby in the coming weeks!

Summer Academy at ACU:  Students can earn college credit this summer and live on campus!  The ACU Honors College, Summer Academy offers one, two and three-week sessions of fun and challenging courses taught by university professors for high school students and at a great price.  For more information, go to
