Albanian Mission Trip Meeting: Jonida and Dave Martin invite you to their home for another 2013 Albanian Mission Trip meeting following worship service on Sunday, January 27. Please call Jonida at 281-280-9332 if you plan to attend.

A “Co-ed” Wedding Shower for Kyle Stallard (son of Laura Yates) and his fiancé, Lauren Waggoner, will be held on Sunday, February 10, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the Refuge Center. We will be presenting the couple with a “Blessings and Money Tree” and you may add your gift to the tree upon arrival. (Men, please note that refreshments will be served!)

Family Promise Appreciation Dinner: A volunteer appreciation lunch will be held in the FAC after our morning worship on Sunday, February 24. Everyone who has helped is invited.

We are looking for volunteers for our next Family Promise hosting week, March 3-10. We need people to help prepare and serve meals, serve as overnight hosts, help with laundry and other needs. If you would like more information or want to volunteer, visit the church website or contact Kendal Glover.

Caregiver Conference: On Saturday, March 2, Gloria Dei Lutheran Church will host a free caregiver conference from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Registration includes workshop sessions, lunch, and exhibitors. To register, call 713-682-5995 or visit

“The Story” DVDs: The first set of The Story lessons (1-19) have been prepared and are available for $20 at the Welcome Center.
