Worship
We want you to feel comfortable in our worship service, so let us give you an idea of what to expect, As you visit, you may experience worship as actively or passively as you wish. You are our honored guest.
Singing
Congregational singing plays a prominent role in our worship service (Ephesians 6:19-20). Non-instrumental music is a rich part of our heritage. The order of worship, including the song numbers, is listed on the front of the Sunday bulletin for those who desire to participate, The praise team is helping us to learn new music. We hope that you find our worship in song to be uplifting and glorifying to God.
Lord's Supper/Communion
The Lord's Supper is a central focus of our worship, as it was for the first century church (Acts 20:7). Each Sunday we observe the Lord's Supper. As we eat the bread and drink the fruit of the vine, we share in the death, burial , and resurrection of our Lord Jesus, We are reminded of the great love God has for us by remembering the price Jesus paid for our salvation. We invite our guests to join us in this time of thanksgiving.
Contribution
Sometime during our service, our members are given the opportunity to contribute money in gratitude for God's goodness and in support of the ministries of this church. This Contribution is for our members, and guests are not expected to place money in the plate passed around during this time.
Prayer Requests
We believe in the power of prayer (James 5:15-16)! In Churches of Christ, prayers are led by ministers, elders, or church members. If you have a need for prayer, please let us know, and we will add your request to our prayer list. You may write this request on the back of your guest card.
Sermon
The lesson is usually presented by our preaching minister. We recognize the Bible as the only standard of authority in religious matters. You may notice that our minister does not wear special clothes. Because we are all brothers in Christ, we address our ministers using their names, without any religious titles (1 Peter 2:9)
Responding/Family Prayer Time
At different times during our service, our elders and ministers are available for prayer and spiritual counsel, or to be baptized into Jesus' death and resurrection to speak with one of our elders or ministers during this time of prayer, they will be positioned around the sides of the auditorium for your convenience. You may also make note of your needs on an attendance card and place it in the collection plate.
Membership
If you desire to become a member of this congregation, you may indicate this on the guest card or speak with an elder or minister.
